Moon-Moon Aspects: Synastry Edition
It’s a moonday & there’s no better day than today to talk about the moon in astrology the moon represents the feminine, the nurturer, the home and is ruled by cancer ♋️
The moon tells us more about a person and how they need to be catered to emotionally than the sun sign imo & whilst the sign of our moon can tell us a lot about a person the aspects it makes in a synastry chart & the degree/house helps us paint a better picture.

MOON OPPOSE MOON
I have this aspect with a close friend who’s a Gemini moon & honestly we do have fun together and I think that us sharing the same modality aids/assists our connection despite our moons being in different elements.
We are our moon signs & she’s more Gemini than I am! One thing about these Gemini moons… they will have multiple conversations on multiple platforms. & even for my Gemini stellium this can be overstimulating at times.
With this aspect there is opportunity for growth for both parties should they be willing to grow & truth be told I don’t think oppositions are the easiest energies to work with because you have to make a conscious effort to compromise in order to balance the scales between the two sister signs. You 100% won’t always see eye to eye because you are polar opposites coming together & whilst frictions may arise in this connection there is also opportunity to learn the art of healthy compromise. There are similarities between the signs and thus they are able to mirror each other. The tensions that do arise are tense/intense but I still feel that they are not as intense as squares or conjunctions imo.
MOON SQUARE MOON
The moon speaks to how we want to feel, be seen, and also heard. Here, there is growth relating to our emotional needs and how we also seek to nurture others but this energy is uncomfortable.
This does not necessarily mean that the energy will always be uncomfortable but I think that there are two energies that find it harder to fuse naturally and thus a conscious effort is required if you want to have common ground/mutual understanding.
I have this with a Virgo moon sibling & honestly it is draining. In a romantic connection it may not start off that way but overtime this clashing can become problematic and turn into resentment.
Squares present an opportunity for us to learn the art of compromise & communication because when tensions arise squares will not allow you to sweep these under the rug. Both parties must consciously work through the ego.
MOON CONJUNCT MOON
In my own personal experience, I have felt seen and supported on a soul level & there is just an unspoken understanding.
Again with conjunctions there can be emotional outbursts/explosion at times and therefore even with this moon aspect there is still work to do between both parties. I do think there is a deeper emotion connection when your moon conjuncts another person moon but there is also the possibility that the energy can get explosive and too intense at times and if conscious efforts are not made to meet in the middle the conjunct aspect can be counterproductive.
When your moon conjuncts another person’s moon, sometimes these people can become some of our closest friends. I have this aspect with a close friend who’s also a Sag moon. I also know of two Pisces moons who have this conjunction and have a deep connection that extends beyond friendship. With conjunctions there is a natural fusing of energies & when this relates to the moon there is an innate understanding where you both just get each other. It’s quite telepathic & I feel this conjunct also triggers healing and growth within the connection.
